The difference between a goal and a wish

I got this paragraph from an AskMen article about weight loss strategies and resolutions. As you will notice, this advice is not only limited to fitness, it can be applied to all your medium and long-term goals:

“The most surefire way to never achieve your goals is to not set them. The difference between a goal and a wish is that goals are specific, realistic and written down! Write down your goals and post them around the areas you spend the most time (work, car, refrigerator).”
